Legal obligations

1. Do all your workers on site have an ID card?Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008, art. 18 and 26
ID card for everyone: it is mandatory for every worker under contract or subcontract, and the penalty applies for each worker without one. What the law says

Complete the ID cards: they must show photo, personal details, employer and hiring date. An incomplete card is not compliant.
3. Do subcontractors' workers have an ID card showing the subcontracting authorisation?
Check subcontractors: the card must also show the subcontracting authorisation. Check it at the site entrance.
4. Do self-employed workers on your sites have an ID card showing the client?
Self-employed included: self-employed workers must also have an ID card showing the client.
5. Do workers display their ID card visibly while working?
Card on display: the worker must keep it visible. The penalty falls on the worker, but in an inspection it signals weak site control.
6. Does your company hold the points-based licence (patente a crediti)?Mandatory since 1 October 2024 on temporary or mobile sites
Points-based licence: without a valid licence (unless exempt with SOA certification class III or higher) the company cannot work on site.
7. Do you check that companies and self-employed workers you hire hold a valid points-based licence?
Check who you let in: verify the licence of companies and self-employed workers before they enter the site.

Attendance records

8. Can you say at any time who was on a site on a given day, with entry and exit times?
Reliable attendance record: after an accident or inspection you must prove who was there. With QR and GPS time tracking every entry and exit has time, location and name.
9. Is attendance recorded in real time, not reconstructed at the end of the day or week?

11. Does every worker have valid training certificates and medical fitness?
Up-to-date worker records: keep certificates, fitness and licences in one place, so you never send a non-compliant worker to site.
12. Do you get an alert before training, medical checks and compliance certificates expire?
